My Story
My name is Mar,
I AM a former NCAA DII basketball player who lost some direction when the game ended but found redirecton when I chose to fight for my myself.
There was a time when I was battling depression, childhood trauma, Feeling stuck and disconnected. My therapist told me to start moving again; to start moving again. to train not just my my body, but my mind. also, to do it with purpose, So I did.
The early mornings became my therapy. The weights became my voice. As I started fueling my body correctly, positive thoughts followed. My energy came back. My confidence grew. My life was changed forever when I realized that mental health is the foundation of physical health.
That’s how I created Mar Than Fitness. a movement to improve wellness as a whole: mind, body, and soul. it takes "mar" than just fitness to stay healthy. I’ve lived what it feels like to lose yourself mentally, and I know the strength it takes to rebuild it.
My mission is to help others do the same; to think better, move better, and feel better, one day at a time.
Fitness changed my life as a whole, and mental fitness gave it purpose.

Frequently asked questions
Is this program beginner-friendly?
Yes! The program is designed for all levels. Every exercise includes modifications so you can progress safely and build confidence step by step. Whether online or in person, you have access to me. I will provide you with proper guidance and demonstration to easure safe technique and proper form, no matter where you are at in your journey.
Is a daily time commitment required?
Daily training is not required. I encourage my clients to train 3–5 times a week. I do, however, encourage my clients to incorporate some kind of movement daily (walking, yoga, etc). Consistency matters more than frequency, and we tailor your plan to your availability and lifestyle!
Is there a nutrition guide included?
Teaching you how to create better eating habits is included. Being mindful of what you are using as fuel is a huge part of your journey with MarThanFitness. There is the option for a customized meal plan to be added onto your monthly plan for an additional cost.
What if I don't have all the equipment?
No problem! Each plan includes bodyweight alternatives and home-friendly workouts that deliver results with minimal gear. We start with the basics and work our way up.
